S. Michele Arcangelo was born in 2007 and became an agricultural social cooperative - non-profit organization in 2014. San Michele, carries out its activity in collaboration with the Cooperative PARS offering disadvantaged people opportunities for integration into an agricultural working context.
The cooperative cultivates about 50 hectares of land according to organic farming methods and deals with the cultivation of various types of crops: vines, olive trees, fruits and vegetables.
Every year San Michele welcomes about 50 disadvantaged people, mainly former drug addicts or mentally disabled people who have undergone residential treatment. These subjects are involved in work reintegration activities in agricultural settings, such as breeding, cultivation of the fund and fruit harvesting.
In San Michele, love for the earth and love for life come together giving a new stimulus of rebirth
